Around the Great Salt Lake Trail

Them: What’d you do this weekend?

Me: Oh, my Dad and I drove our Razor around the Great Salt Lake

Them: Oh, like at Antelope Island? That’s a nice place.

Me: No. We literally drove my Razor from my house in Highland, through downtown Salt Lake City, up to Brigham City, to the Spiral Jetty, across parts of the original transcontinental railroad, down to Wendover, and then across the Pony Express route back to my house in Highland. It was 538 miles of mostly dirt roads. I call it the “Around the Great Salt Lake Trail.”

Them: Oh dang that sounds so cool!

Me: We had an awesome time. There’s so much history and things to see in the state with the Golden Spike/Transcontinental Railroad, the Great Salt Lake, Spiral Jetty, Blue Lake, wild horses, the west desert, and the Pony Express trail. It’s my happy place.

Them: Oh I bet! I’ll join your next adventure?
